Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about visiting our paediatric clinic

Do I need a referral to see the paediatrician?
No. While a valid GP or specialist referral is required to access Medicare rebates, your appointment can still proceed, although rebates will not apply.
How do I book my child’s first appointment?
Email us at enquiriestodrbithiroy@gmail.com or fill out our submission form. Please include your baby's name and date of birth, your contact number, and preferred appointment times. We'll be in touch within 2-3 business days to confirm your booking.
What to Bring To My Appointment?
• Valid referral from your GP or specialist
• Your child’s Blue Book (health record)
• Medicare card
• Any relevant medical reports or test results
How does the Medicare rebate work?
We’ll process your Medicare claim and send you an invoice on the same day as your appointment. The rebate amount will be deposited directly into your nominated bank account once Medicare completes the claim.
Is the doctor running on time?
We do our best to stay on schedule, and we ask that you please arrive on time for your appointment. Unexpected situations such as medical emergencies or complex patient needs may cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to provide thorough care for every child and family.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
Please note your appointment date when booking, as it's your responsibility to manage and contact us with any changes. We require at least 24 hours' notice by email to reschedule or cancel, allowing us to offer your time to another family. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments incur a 50% consultation fee (not covered by Medicare or private health insurance).
